Communicator status not updating outlook 2016
Howdy, I’ve been busy with too many deployments and onsite support and when have time try to help out the Lync Community via Lync Tech Net forum.While doing that I noticed how many open threads and questions are out there about integration problems between Lync client and Outlook 2010 / 2013 clients.This means that the contact does not have a number on Lync and therefore cannot be contacted, even though the number is present in Outlook.
They’re the little circular image that shows up in Skype for Business next to your name in the Contacts List.
We cannot edit the logon script as this is a company wide logon script for a multinational company and this fault only affects this single user. May be sometimes it takes time to sync the contact.
[Update] As per the comments/answers I forgot to mention that the common fault with the Update for Communicator has been fixed company wide. I have been informed that this was not an issue with the machine at all.
AD then populates the photos out to other Office properties, like Exchange, Skype for Business, and Office apps.
We had one employee whose Skype for Business contact didn’t show his photo. Now, we knew Mike had one, because we saw it in Outlook all the time. (Backend information for reference: Exchange Server and AD on-prem, Skype for Business Server on-prem.) Now, the solution for this wound up being something VERY simple.
