Updating garmin 200
We only sell the latest maps that are available (Garmin update these every 3 to 4 months) and a map card can be purchased from here Ireland & UK SD card If your sat-nav has a 'LM' designation, for example, the nuvi 2415LM or nuvi 2597LM then your device comes with free lifetime map updates.
In this case you update the maps on your sat-nav using Garmin Express which you download from Garmin's website and install on your PC or Mac.

If I had a choice I would prefer it on the right since sometimes I place the GPS up against the left side of the dash, but without an MP3 player it isn’t likely you would use the SD card slot all that much anyway, so no big deal.
The right side and bottom have no buttons or connectors.
I’ve praised the mount on the 300 series as being the absolute best mount in the industry.
What sets the other mount apart is that the power cord connects to the mount and then the mount feeds power to the Nuvi.
Garmin have made a number of changes to their map update procedures in the last year.
You can also move the slider to the right that locks input to the device, much like a hold button on an i Pod.
I’m not really sure why a hold button is necessary on this device unless they have it in mind for the pedestrian mode.
